I am leaving the confines of my cozy home office in two weeks to attend a new conference from the American Marketing Association called M-Planet. The AMA is partnering with McKinsey, the Wharton School and Spencer Stuart as it attempts to go up the marketing food chain and attract more CMOs and other senior marketing execs to its programs. Keynoters include IBM CEO Sam Palmisano and AT&T COO Randall Stephenson. Looks like a good lineup of sessions covering the current hot buttons: new media, innovation, marketing ROI, customer engagement. I’ll be blogging from the event, which runs from Nov. 29 – Dec. 1.
